"The trees just need more water. The grass will come back, even if you're only watering occasionally. But a 70-year-old tree in that landscape will not come back." A Tennessee lawmaker and a Connecticut faculty union are questioning a housing deal between incoming UT President John Petersen and his New England college that could cost the school more than $800,000. … UT trustees on April 21 selected Dr. Petersen by a 14-9 vote over Utah State University President Kermit Hall. In accordance with an agreement reached some years ago, when Alaska's Board of Agriculture and Conservation was created to take control of assets under the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Revolving Loan Fund, the BAC has recently started making its presence on the Mat-Maid Creamery Corporation's Board of Directors felt. … This represents a new outlook for dairy in the state," Torgerson said. The Whittier Community Center in Logan is planning a reunion for past students of the Whittier School.
