CELEBRATE
SUMMER AT UTAH BOTANICAL CENTER GARDEN FAIR
KAYSVILLE – The Utah Botanical Center (UBC) celebrates
the bounty and beauty of late summer with a Garden Fair Saturday,
Aug. 28. The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the UBC Pavilion,
near the center's ponds, 900 S. 50 West, Kaysville.
Organic produce from Borski Farms will be for sale, as will
raspberries from Weeks Berries of Paradise and peaches from
the UBC orchard. Other items for sale include fresh cut flowers,
herbs, and dried floral wreaths and arrangements. The Davis
County Master Gardeners host their annual iris sale during the
fair and will be available to diagnose plant problems and offer
gardening advice.
Experts will also be on hand with information about water conservation
and water efficient landscaping. Several local nurseries will
have booths where guests can ask questions and purchase water
wise plants.
Tours of the Utah House (an energy and resource efficient demonstration
house), its landscaping and the UBC ponds area will be given
