Utah State Athlete of the Week
Burton set a Utah State record
in the women's shot put at the Oregon Invitational on Saturday

Utah State thrower Kelli Burton was named Utah State's Athlete
of the Week for the second straight week, it was announced Monday.
The honor is selected by a local media panel.
Burton, a freshman from Kaysville, Utah, set a USU record in
the women's shot put as she won the event for the third straight
week. She now holds the school record in both the indoor and
outdoor shot put. Her throw also moves her into sixth in the
NCAA West Region. Burton also finished second in the discus
with a distance of 154-10.
Utah State track and field next travels to Brigham Young University
May 3-4, to compete in the BYU Invitational.

Women's Tennis -- Caroline Pollock... Pollock led
the Aggies to a 4-2 victory against UC Riverside in the first
round of the rain-delayed Big West Championships on Thursday,
April 24. She defeated Michelle Beyronneau in three sets at
number one singles, 7-5, 2-6, 6-1.
Men's Track -- Justin Wickard... Wickard finished
second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.91, only 0.01
off his personal record. His time moves him into second in the
NCAA West Region.
