There is no registration fee to attend the BIE Academy.
Who should attend: school principals, school special education committees, special education coordinators/teachers, education line officers, associate deputy directors, parents of children with disabilities, PIAP specialists, others designated by school administrators, REPP staff, and JDC staff.
Room reservations can be made by calling the Bahia Hotel,
toll-free, at 800-576-4229 or you can fax the Bahia at 858-488-1387. A block of rooms has
been reserved at the Bahia under the name "BIE Special Education Academy." You must mention that name to get
the prenegotiated discounted room rate, which is the prevailing federal per diem rate: $137 Single/$157 Double/$177 Triple/$197 Quad.
The hotel is located at 998 West Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109.
The conference rate negotiated under this contract includes up to three days before and three days after
the conference. The cutoff to make hotel reservations is August 21, 2009. So hurry!

transportation shuttle company for discounted shuttle rates to and from the San Diego Airport.
